First place so far

After just a few games being played early in the season, the Cardinals have managed to be a half a game ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates in their division. The Cardinals have had their struggles with their true ace pitcher not being able to play all year and the sad news of possibly losing their closer for the year with possible Tommy John surgery.

Musial's effect

After the passing of a great Hall of Fame player, Stan Musial, the St. Louis Cardinals look to honor him throughout the year. The Cardinals have placed patches on their jerseys to remember the late Stan "The Man" Musial. The Cardinals also had a Stan Musial night at the ball park where they cut the grass in the outfield to look like a big #6 in honor of him. Ever since Stan's passing the Cardinals have done a great job of remembering him.

Wainwright pitches into the 9th

The ace for the St. Louis Cardinals, Adam Wainwright pitched into the 9th inning on Tuesday night's game. After starting the game in the first Wainwright was able to keep his pitch count down below 100 pitches and allowed him to take the Cardinals to another win in the season.

Carlos Beltran Leads Votes

After just a few games played, the MLB is already voting for the All Star Game that takes place in early July. After just having a birthday, Carlos Beltran is leading the St. Louis Cardinals in most votes for the Cardinals. Beltran is second in batting average on the team along with just ending his 8 game hitting streak.
